From a young age, captivated by art, often seen trying to replicate intricate posters of Lord Ganesh from his neighbor’s house. Akshay was a designer whose creative journey began long before his formal training.
His early talent was evident as he would correct his mother’s drawings during nursery school activities, demonstrating a keen eye for detail even then. This passion for art evolved into a business as he started creating and selling paintings at local exhibitions.
He later pursued his love for design academically, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Nirma University in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Now, with a blend of artistic flair and architectural expertise, he is ready to return to his roots. Driven by a vision to rejuvenate his hometown, Akshay is set to transform his community with innovative and thoughtful architectural solutions.
Meaning of Kalagya
Our name, derived from the Sanskrit word for “artist” reflects our commitment to creating spaces that are not only functional but also inspire and captivate.
We believe that architecture is an art-form that transcends mere construction.
With a passion for blending creativity and innovation, Kalagya Design Studio approaches each project as a unique canvas.
Our logo - The heart of a designer resembles to an innocent deer, graciously wandering in the forest awed by the beauty of creation, grazing in the wild yet always alert of its surroundings, careful of the beasts that lurks amongst the shadows.
Its innocence and grace are similar to the creation inspired by the hands of a designer, while always on its toe and aware of its hunters and challenges, ready to survive through any circumstances, showcasing the strength and resilience of a designer.
